I couldn’t have said it better myself!

August 12, 2017

Many CT taxpayers are outraged at the attempt by state bureaucrats to slap a new tax on CT home heating oil.

And justifiably so!

I want to thank you for telling state bureaucrats exactly what you think of this proposed tax and for ccing me on the email.

Here’s an example of what one of you said:

I thoroughly oppose a new state tax on heating oil. It is a bare necessity for thousands of citizens in CT. It would be a completely unfair tax upon those who could least afford it!”

I couldn’t have said it better myself!

This weekend, please continue to do the following:

  1. Email a brief comment to DEEP.EnergyBureau@ct.gov saying “I OPPOSE a new tax on CT heating oil!”
  2. Copy me on the email at Eric.Berthel@cga.ct.gov
  3. Include your name and town
  4. Share this information with taxpayers and heating oil users so they can speak out
