Approving the State Employee Union Deal Did Not Make the Change Connecticut Needs

“If this was another corporation, I can tell you most of our districts include people that would’ve accepted a wage free and furlough days and increased payment for healthcare and increased payment for pension, if the company they worked for was still here.” Sen. Craig Miner.

Taxpayers and the business community were looking for the legislature to make real changes to the way we do business this year. Approving the state employee union deal brokered by the administration does not do that.
