A “double dip” by the state to tax you twice?
August 11, 2017Earlier this week, I brought to your attention the attempt by state bureaucrats to slap a new tax on CT home heating oil.
Today, I am attaching a recent News 8 video about this new tax, or as the bureaucrats call it, a new “Conservation Fee”.

As the state oil dealers trade group notes in the story, “We truly believe that because consumers are already contributing to these funds through their electric bill, there should not be a double dip by the state to attempt to tax them a second time.”
Many of you, like me, are OPPOSED to a new CT tax on heating oil.
