Senator Somers to Host Town Hall Meeting in Groton

HARTFORD, Conn. – Today State Senator Heather Somers (R-Groton) announced she will host a post-session town hall meeting in Groton on Monday, July 17.

 “I have been working diligently to give Southeastern Connecticut residents a budget that is not only balanced and fair-minded, but a budget that will set Connecticut on a new path, a path that doesn’t require a frenzied scramble every two years to make ends meet,” said Sen. Somers. “This town hall meeting is an opportunity for residents to bring any questions, comments or concerns they have and also a time for me to provide an update about the budget situation and legislation that was passed during the session in Hartford. I want to encourage all of my constituents to attend.”
