Podcast: Fasano talks laws aimed at health care pricing

Senate Republican Leader Len Fasano, R-North Haven, sits down with staff writer Mike Savino about legislation he and Senate President Pro Tempore Martin M. Looney, D-New Haven, have pushed to lower medical costs. The two Senate leaders have ushered a pair of bills through the legislature since 2015 aimed at a variety of practices, including the usage of facility fees, surprise billing, and pharmacy benefits managers. They also seek to gain more state oversight of hospital mergers.
