Senator Kissel Releases Statement Re: Budget Situation in Hartford

June 30, 2017

HARTFORD, Conn. – Today State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) released the following statement regarding the current budget situation in Hartford.

“One of the most important roles of the legislature is to pass a balanced budget and here we are, hours before the end of our fiscal year without a budget to move our state forward,” said Sen. Kissel. “I am very disappointed that there has been no debate or vote on our line-by-line Senate Republican budget, a budget that has been fully vetted and puts Connecticut on a better path. I have every confidence that under the leadership of Senator Fasano and Senator Witkos we will be able to pass a balanced budget that will help create a state where everyone can prosper. Now more than ever we all must work together.”
