Sen. Witkos Meets with Students at Avon Middle School

Avon – State Senator Kevin Witkos (R-Canton), the Deputy Senate Republican President Pro Tempore, met with a group of students at Avon Middle School on June 12. These 8th grade students wrote letters to Sen. Witkos at the beginning of the year after visiting the state Capitol. At their meeting this week, the students discussed issues that mattered most to them, including education, the environment, and the state budget. Sen. Witkos explained the legislative process to the students and the importance of making their voices heard in state government.
