Capitol Update: Senate Passes Bill Protecting Jobs in Southeast CT

May 25, 2017

After months of hard work I am thrilled to announce that the state Senate passed a bill supporting the efforts of the Mohegans and Mashantucket Pequots to protect more than 9,300 jobs in Southeastern Connecticut, jobs that are vital to many hard-working families. This is an important piece to the puzzle to protect jobs and preserve the economic development and tourism our region relies upon. Click below to watch my latest Capitol update video to learn more.

This is a major step forward but the work is not done! The bill must also be passed in the House of Representatives before it can be signed into law by the governor. For updates on the bill’s progress follow me on social media or visit my website at www.senatorformica.com.
