YOUR VIEW: State senator sets out business-friendly goals

April 17, 2017

To the Editor:

It was wonderful to have so many members of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce at the Capitol on March 8 for the annual Connecticut Business Day.

I thank them for taking the time away from their businesses so they could come to Hartford to let legislative leaders know we must do more to improve the state’s business climate.

Connecticut’s small businesses are struggling and we in Hartford must address the state’s high taxes and burdensome regulations.

We must control spending, balance the budget, and show that we are serious about making the changes necessary to create a business-friendly environment in our state.

Connecticut can be a leader in business and job growth. Businesses have told us what they need. Now is the time to act.
