CT House Speaker: Tolls ‘Inevitable’
“Tolls are coming. They’re not going to be border tolls. They will be all over the place.”

Instead of balancing the state budget with tolls and new taxes, I believe lawmakers should be making changes to the structure of CT government to rein in costs and create an environment where jobs can grow and our economy can flourish. A healthy economy – not new taxes – is key to protecting core social services and making our state an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

If you think it is time for Connecticut to stop relying on new taxes and tolls as the answer and start looking at bipartisan solutions to better our state you can call the Senate Democrats at 860-240-8600 to let them know your thoughts.

Urge Democrat lawmakers to stop the business-as-usual approach. Lawmakers need to come together to work on long-term changes to move our state forward, not add more burdens onto Connecticut residents.
