Sen. Len Suzio has created an online petition at www.SenatorSuzio.com which seeks to prevent a by-the-mile tax from becoming reality in Connecticut.

“The Malloy Administration intends to use $300,000 of your tax dollars to study a Connecticut Mileage Tax,” Suzio said. “I believe a Connecticut Mileage Tax would be a direct threat to your privacy. They’ll know every mile you drive. They’ll know everywhere you drive. We can’t allow a Big-Brother-style Connecticut Mileage Tax to become reality. Please sign my petition to tell Gov. Malloy and lawmakers in Hartford: De-Fund the Connecticut Mileage Tax Study!”

Suzio has proposed Bill # 76 to de-fund the study. The bill awaits a vote by the state legislature’s Transportation Committee. Taxpayers may express support for Suzio’s Bill #76 by emailing a brief comment to [email protected] and copying Suzio at [email protected] .
