Apprenticeships provide students with valuable job skills and a pathway to employment

February 24, 2017

95% of college professors and administrators believe students are career ready but only 11% of employers agree with them. Connecticut students have the highest student debt in the country, with few opportunities for jobs. THIS needs to change. We need apprenticeship opportunities for all careers including finance, health care, and tech. Businesses will partner with education if laws allow them to. Apprenticeships reduce the costs of education for towns, reduce tuition costs, and can give students debt free education and gainful employment. Please check out this video and my bill attached that will allow Connecticut to accomplish this.
