Thank you for sending a clear message to state lawmakers that you support my Bill #76 to de-fund the Connecticut Mileage Tax Study.
As one of you noted in your testimony, “A mileage tax is a ridiculous idea and no money needs to be wasted to study it.”
I also want to extend special thanks to the Connecticut veterans who came to the State Capitol today to support Bill 76.
The veterans pointed out the state’s misplaced priorities in cutting state funding for the Connecticut Honor Guard’s rifle salutes at veterans’ burial ceremonies while state taxpayer dollars are being wasted on this Mileage Tax study.
