Hartford – Senator Paul Formica issued comments in response to Friday’s press conference held at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford regarding the NEC FUTURE plan proposal to construct a bypass tunnel in Southeastern Connecticut:

“I stand with our state and federal partners in strong opposition to this NEC future plan which in part calls for a bypass tunnel which would devastate the historic and picturesque towns of the South Eastern Connecticut corridor, especially Old Lyme,” said Sen. Formica. “Representative Carney and I have introduced legislation that will prevent using any Connecticut dollars to fund this plan.”
