Sen. Boucher Congratulates Redding Police on AAA Award

December 22, 2016

Sen. Toni Boucher today congratulated the Redding Police Department for receiving the AAA of the Northeast’s Silver Award. The award was presented to the department and two of its officers for traffic safety programs and DUI enforcement.

“It’s gratifying to know that the hard work of the Redding Police Department is being recognized by an organization like AAA,” Sen. Boucher said. “These officers have dedicated their lives to the safety and well-being of our community. They don’t hear the words ‘thank you’ nearly often enough.”

In addition to recognizing the department’s efforts to combat distracted driving and enforce child passenger safety, AAA also recognized officers Michael Livingston and Jenna Matthews. The pair lead the department in DUI arrests and motor vehicle enforcement and are credited with helping the department’s overall efforts to reduce traffic crashes through enforcement and education.
