Nighttime Installation of Rumble Strips on Rt. 8 and I-95 in Bridgeport and Stratford
October 20, 2016The Department of Transportation announced there will be nighttime installation of rumble strips performed on Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport and I-95 Northbound and Southbound in Roadwork AheadBridgeport and Stratford.
Construction will start Monday, October 24 and conclude Tuesday, October 25. Work is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Motorist can expect lane closures on Route 8 Northbound from I-95 Northbound to .03 mile south of the beginning of the Lindley Street overpass bridge. Drivers can also expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound from the end of the Bridgeport Harbor overpass bridge to the end of the Church Street overpass bridge.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
