Sen. Kevin Witkos Receives the 2016 Radiological Society of Connecticut Award

Hartford – On September 6 Senate Minority Leader Pro Tempore Kevin Witkos (R-Canton) received the 2016 Radiological Society of Connecticut (RSC) Award at a statewide meeting of the RSC in New Haven.

The 2016 RSC award recognizes Sen. Witkos for his outstanding leadership in advocating for preventive healthcare services for women and access to services by all patients.

“I’m am honored to receive this recognition. Radiological services are a vital part of health care in our state. I look forward to continuing my efforts to support affordable and accessible health care in Connecticut including the extremely valuable preventative care services our radiologists provide every day,” said Sen. Witkos.

The RSC (http://www.ctrad.org) is the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Radiology.

Sen. Kevin Witkos serves as Senate Minority Leader Pro Tempore and represents the 8th Senate District, which includes the communities of Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, Granby, Hartland, Harwinton, New Hartford, Norfolk, Simsbury and Torrington. He is also the current Caucus Chairman for Outreach of the Senate Republican Caucus, Ranking Member on the General Assembly’s General Law Committee and Higher Education & Employment Advancement Committee, and a member of the Legislative Management, Judiciary and Regulations Review committees.
