Senator Kissel Announces Grant for Schools in Windsor and Windsor Locks

May 25, 2016

Hartford-State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) announced today that the State Bond Commission is expected to approve two grants of $1,225,000 to Windsor and Windsor Locks’ school districts at its May 27th meeting.

“Despite the tumultuous budget season when town aid is being cut, I’m happy that both the Windsor and Windsor Locks school districts will be receiving sizable grants for infrastructure improvements,” said Senator Kissel. “I’d like to thank the school boards for applying for the grants and the bonding commission for seeing the wisdom in investing in local public education.”

The Windsor and Windsor Locks school boards applied for Alliance District Funding, which awards grants to districts usually for general maintenance and school upkeep.
