Hartford – Two Torrington lawmakers, Senator Kevin Witkos and Representative Roberta Willis, teamed up at the Capitol to urge fellow legislators to support bipartisan legislation that would establish a constitutional amendment to protect preserved land in Connecticut. Senate Joint Resolution No. 36 would implement strengthened restrictions on the sale of preserved land and aims to better protect state-owned forest land, parks, wildlife areas and other open space.
