Sen. John A. Kissel Participates in the ACC Regional Economic Summit

Enfield– State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) participated in the Asnuntuck Community College Regional Economic Summit on Thursday January 14th. The event was held at the college, and was attended by state and local education officials, college faculty, and business leaders. The summit was divided into remarks and presentations discussing how the college is making an economic impact in north-central Connecticut.

“It was great seeing so many distinguished business, government, and educational leaders discussing the bright future of ACC and the region’s economy,” said Sen. Kissel. “I would like to thank President Lombella for inviting me. He is making great strides at the college by preparing the students for the jobs of tomorrow. I would also like to thank President Ojakian for his acknowledgement and support of ACC as an engine for our local economy. ACC is an educational and economic well-spring for our region, and I will continue to do what I can to help the school and its students succeed.”

Recently, a study by Economic Modeling Specialists International estimated that Asnuntuck Community College generates $207.5 million for north-central Connecticut.
