Sen. Kane Honored by Connecticut Youth Services Association

October 2, 2015

Sen. Rob Kane has been recognized for his outstanding support and advocacy on behalf of youth service bureaus in Connecticut.

The Connecticut Youth Services Association (CYSA) honored Sen. Kane and other legislators for their support during an Oct. 2 ceremony. CYSA leads, strengthens and supports a unified network of Youth Service Bureaus dedicated to promoting the well-being of Connecticut’s children, youth, and families.

“The support of our legislators is integral to the sustainability and continued success of Youth Service Bureaus in Connecticut,” said Connecticut Youth Services Association President Barbara Lockhart. “We wish to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to Senator Kane for his support.”

“I’m very appreciative of this recognition by this respected organization,” Sen. Kane said. “As a father of two wonderful children, I try to bring that personal perspective to my work as a state legislator. Youth Service Bureaus strengthen family and neighborhood relationships while providing state of the art programming for Connecticut’s youth. Those services promote positive social, educational and emotional skill development for our young people, providing them with community service and leadership opportunities. I hope to continue working closely with Youth Service Bureaus from throughout Connecticut to improve the quality of life for our young people and to put them on a path to bright and productive futures.”

Sen. Kane represents Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown and Woodbury.
