Help us protect hospitals

September 23, 2015

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy recently announced huge cuts to hospital funding, as well as damaging cuts to mental health care and other vital social services.

Republicans stand with Connecticut hospitals at a press conference calling for a special session to restore the governor’s cuts. Democrat leaders have rejected calls for a special session thus far.

It is wrong to balance the Democrats’ failed budget on the backs of the most vulnerable.

Republicans are standing up for health care access and quality. We are standing up for the poor, the elderly, those on Medicaid, and those with mental health needs.

We support our hospitals and we’re joining them in asking for your support too. Republicans and hospitals are asking the governor and Democrat lawmakers to call a special session to restore the funding and rethink the damaging state budget.

The Connecticut Hospital Association is encouraging people to write letters to the governor and state legislators and to add your signature to a letter protesting the cuts here: www.carewecancounton.org/take-action/.

These cuts are a disaster. Help us stop them.
