Republican message will resonate in Connecticut’s cities [Rep-Am letter]

Letter to the Editor as is appeared in the Waterbury Republican American

Connecticut Republicans are working to connect with residents in cities like Waterbury.

We appreciate the Republican-American’s recognition of our efforts (March 19 editorial, “GOP seeking urban gains”).

Many Republican legislators, myself included, run small businesses in cities. We want to help urban residents succeed, grow jobs and realize their dreams.

We just haven’t reached out to tell our stories and to discuss our ideas.

That lack of urban outreach now is a part of the past. We look forward to frequent meetings with Brass City residents.

We feel our positive Republican message of hope, opportunity and freedom will resonate in all of Connecticut’s cities.
