For years, Connecticut State Sen. Rob Kane, R-Watertown, has been pushing for the creation of a development zone around Waterbury-Oxford airport. He ran into resistance, but his persistence, along with Rep.Dave Labriola, to get a development zone won out.

In this latest CTTalking Podcast, Sen. Kane talks about how the effort is now bearing fruit, as the Connecticut Airport Authority has given preliminary approval to Autonomy Technology, Inc. for location of a facility near the airport. ATI has applied to take advantage of the tax incentives provided by the development zone.

We also talk about the challenges Sen. Kane has faced in operating a small business in Connecticut for 20 years. Once again, however, through persistence, Sen. Kane has found a way to make it work.

With less than two weeks to go before the end of the Connecticut General Assembly session, we get into that topic as well.
