(photo) Haddam Students Honored for Citizenship Posters

In a Mar. 14 ceremony at the State Capitol, Sen. Art Linares (left) and Secretary of the State Denise Merrill (right) honored Haddam Elementary School student Alison Twachtman (center) on being selected as the 2014 Poster Contest Winner among 4th grade students from the 2nd Congressional District. The contest, co-sponsored by The Connecticut Citizenship Fund Inc., received more than 150 entries from fourth graders throughout Connecticut on the topic: “Good Citizenship Is Happening In My Community”. Haddam Elementary School student Benjamin Williams took third place honors in the contest. Judging was based on originality, creativity, and overall quality.
