March 7, 2014

A Tuesday March 11 public hearing in Enfield will allow residents to air their thoughts on UConn’s affordability, hospital emergency department use and funding for state parks and forests.

The Program Review and Investigations Committee, co-chaired by Sen. John A. Kissel (R-Enfield), will hold the public hearing on Tuesday, March 11 at Noon in the Auditorium of Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield.

“The legislative process is coming to Enfield,” Sen. Kissel said.  “We all care a great deal about college affordability, health care costs and our environment.  These issues will all be on the table for discussion. This is your government.  Come by and tell the state legislature how you feel.”

Sen. Kissel said he is looking forward to showing off ACC to his fellow legislators.

“They’ll get to see firsthand what a great regional resource ACC is,” Sen. Kissel said.  “The more legislators learn about ACC, the more they will understand how critical ACC is to our economy and to training our future workforce.”
