Sen. Art Linares (right) on Feb. 6 welcomed Nicholas Porter of Westbrook (left) and Chet Crocco of Haddam (center) to the State Capitol for the Opening Day of the 2014 session of the Connecticut General Assembly. Porter is a senior at Xavier and Crocco is a senior at Haddam-Killingworth High School. In a speech in the historic Senate Chamber, Sen. Linares introduced the students to his fellow legislators and commended them on their active involvement in their schools and in their communities.
