Sen. Michael McLachlan (standing, at center) on June 3 welcomed 5th graders from Danbury’s Shelter Rock School to the historic State Capitol. The students gathered in the Senate Chamber to ask Sen. McLachlan questions about their state government. “The students asked some terrific questions,” Sen. McLachlan said. “They visited on a very busy day at the State Capitol, because we were debating and voting on the state budget. I thank the teachers and administrators at Shelter Rock School for the great work they do, and I hope the students enjoyed their tour of this beautiful building.”
