A Thanksgiving message to residents of Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Seymour, Southbury, Thomaston, Roxbury, Watertown and Woodbury

November 22, 2011

“Perhaps no custom reveals our character as a Nation so clearly as our celebration of Thanksgiving Day. Rooted deeply in our Judeo-Christian heritage, the practice of offering thanksgiving underscores our unshakable belief in God as the foundation of our Nation and our firm reliance upon Him from Whom all blessings flow.” – President Ronald Reagan, Thanksgiving Day, 1986

We pause to reflect on those words from President Reagan 25 years ago as we prepare to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

I have been blessed with a wonderful family and the opportunity to serve my community as your state senator. I feel both honored and humbled to hold this position.

While each day brings new challenges, it also brings new opportunities to help the people of Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Seymour, Southbury, Thomaston, Roxbury, Watertown and Woodbury.

I am hopeful that the spirit of giving will continue as we all do our part to make our state a better place to live.

From my family to yours: Happy Thanksgiving!
