Kane, Seymour Officials Tour Damaged Land Trust

On September 28, Seymour state legislators joined local officials to tour the flood damaged Seymour Land Trust and discuss ways in which the state can help.

State Sen. Rob Kane, Sen. Kevin Kelly and Rep. Len Greene were joined by Seymour Land Trust Chairman Joe Grabinski,. Land Trust Vice President Alex Danka and first selectman candidate Kurt Miller.

Earlier in the week, Greene, Kane and Kelly joined First Selectman Paul Roy, Economic Development Director Fred A. Messore and Emergency Management Director Thomas Eighmie in Hartford to meet with an official from Gov. Malloy’s administration. The group is seeking to secure more than $2.7 million in state funding to fix the damage at the Legion Pool and Chatfield parks.
