Senator Toni Boucher: Redeker is a breath of fresh air

State Senator Toni Boucher (R-Wilton) statement on the naming of James Redeker as Commissioner of the State Department of Transportation:

“James Redeker is a respected and a responsive acting Commissioner who has been great to work with. I am particularly impressed with the concern, seriousness and transparency he displayed in addressing our recent July 22 Metro North rail incident. I commend the governor in placing an experienced leader at the helm, one with the background, history and skills to do the job.

The need for continuity in one of the state’s most important posts is especially important during this challenging period. I look forward to working together with the new Commissioner and the administration’s team, along with the chairmen and ranking members of the transportation committee to improve the state’s transportation infrastructure and address the needs of our commuting public.”
