After the Storm

I hope you and your family weathered our recent storm with minimal disruptions and is safe today.  You can receive updated information regarding power outages and what to expect next by accessing the numbers and web sites below.

It may very well be a week before the majority of customers’ power is restored as there are nearly 800,000 outages compared to previous storms of this magnitude that had over 400,000.

In the meantime, Utility’s is reminding customers to:

• Stay at least 10 feet away from all wires!
• If a power line falls on your vehicle while you’re inside, stay there.  Don’t touch anything outside the vehicle and wait for emergency crews.
• Call 9-1-1 immediately with any emergency condition.  
• Check your generator. Make sure it has been properly installed by a licensed electrician. Always operate generators outdoors to avoid carbon monoxide hazards.
