State Senator Rob Kane (R-32) said he welcomed the opportunity to recently tour two Oxford-based companies, Morse Watchmans, Inc., which specializes in security management products, and FDR Special Products, Inc., which serves the printed circuit board industry.

“It is always a pleasure to visit the many businesses in the 32nd Senatorial District that do so much to contribute to our regional economy, and I was delighted to accept an invitation to tour Morse Watchmans and FDR Special Products. I want to thank both of these Oxford companies for their hospitality,” said Senator Kane.

According to information provided on its website, Morse Watchmans, Inc. has been an innovator of advanced security solutions for more than a century, and today offers several products to meet a wide variety of needs. Information provided on the FDR Special Products, Inc. website states that this company has been providing equipment and consumable supplies to the printed circuit board industry since 1991, and works hard to keep pace with changing customer needs.

Senator Kane said he was impressed by the knowledgeable employees and managers at both local companies. He added that visiting the owners and employees of area businesses provides him with an ongoing education about the impact of state laws and policy on the state and local economy.

“Since becoming State Senator, I have toured many businesses in the 32nd Senatorial District and plan to continue accepting invitations to visit as many more as possible. It is a terrific way to keep in touch with area business leaders, and to stay informed about the concerns and needs of the men and women work and live in our communities,” said Senator Kane.

“Controlling state spending and keeping taxes under control is key to promoting a healthy business climate and a strong economy. I enjoyed the opportunity to discuss these issues with the people at Morse Watchmans
and FDR Special Products, and look forward to the chance to continue this conversation with other business leaders in our communities,” said Senator Kane.

Senator Kane said he encourages constituents to contact him to share their ideas and concerns about all the state issues important to the people of the 32nd Senatorial District. He can be reached at his legislative office in Hartford at 1-800-842-1421 or via e-mail to [email protected].
