Department of Environmental Protection Acting Commissioner Amey Marrella visits the 26th Senatorial District

On August 12th, Department of Environmental Protection Acting Commissioner Amey Marrella and State Senator Toni Boucher attended the Sherwood Island Nature Center official ribbon cutting ceremony. They later met with area First Selectmen and legislators from Westport, Weston, Ridgefield, Redding and Bethel to discuss conservation, protection, and the enhancement of natural resources and environment assets in the district.

The 26th senatorial district has an outstanding reputation throughout the state as stewards of the environment. Acting Commissioner Marrella was able to experience this first hand at the meetings and tours of Sherwood Island and Putnam Park.
