Senator Toni Boucher and Representative Joe Mioli congratulate Jay Paretsky on receiving the A.E. Hertzler Knox Award

Jay Paretsky was named a recipient of the A.E. Hertzler Knox Award in recognition of his excellence and a lifetime of EMS service in Connecticut by the Emergency Medical Services Education Seminar Foundation.

Jay Paretsky began his EMS career in January of 1980 as a member of Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service.

The ceremony was held at the State Capitol.

Statement from Senator Boucher:

“Not only has Mr. Paretsky contributed to the health and well-being of countless residents of our communities, he also trained, inspired and educated generations of young people, including many who have made the medical field their life’s work. We are grateful and fortunate to have someone of such character, dedication and skill benefiting us,” said Senator Boucher.

“I want to thank Jay Paretsky for everything he does for our community. We are so lucky to have him. Congratulations,” said Representative Mioli.
