Senator Kane Urges Constituents To Subscribe To His E-Mail Newsletter

January 2, 2009

Senator Rob Kane (R-32) is urging constituents who have internet access to subscribe to his e-mail newsletter as a way to keep up with legislative issues of interest to residents of Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Seymour, Southbury, Thomaston, Roxbury, Watertown and Woodbury.

“Anyone can sign up for my e-mail newsletter by providing the contact information requested on my web page on the Senate Republican web site. Signing up for my e-mail newsletter is just one more convenient way to keep in touch,” said Senator Kane, adding that constituents who sign up for his e-mail newsletter will continue to receive traditional mail from his legislative office.

Senator Kane said that all of his constituents, including those who choose not to subscribe to his e-mail newsletter, will find a great deal of useful information on his web page on the Senate Republican web site. His web page includes biographical and contact information, photos, press releases, videos, and the Senate Republican Caucus blog. Visitors to the web site can also access the official legislative web pages of other Republican senators.

“We provide a lot of information on our Senate Republican web site. For example, visitors who check out our web site, and my web page, now will find Coping With Rising Energy Costs: A Citizen’s Guide To Tax Breaks and Energy Assistance and Teen Driving, a useful guide to the state’s new teen driving laws. Constituents who have questions about the information on my web page can contact me directly. As a matter of fact, I consider visits to my web page as the beginning of a conversation, not the end, and hope that constituents will follow up by calling my legislative office or sending me an e-mail,” said Senator Kane.
