“Reading is so important and, as a father, I am happy to do my part to encourage children to set aside some time during the summer fun months to get lost in good books. I want to thank Carol Bodor, children’s programmer for the Watertown Library Association, for inviting me to participate,” said Senator Kane.

Invited guests read books to children between the ages of two and 12 at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings at the Oakville Branch Library at 55 Davis Street. No pre-registration is required, though children must be accompanied by an adult. The program will run through August 13th. Children will be invited to vote for their favorite books.

“Of course, I thoroughly enjoyed Grace For President, along with the other book I read to the children, Read All About It by First Lady Laura Bush and her daughter, Jenna. I had as much fun as the children did, and I hope that they will take full advantage of this excellent program and grow up to become lifelong readers,” said Senator Kane.
